EDC-1 (3 Days)
Electronic Diesel Control with Distributor Injection
Participants: Diesel Apprentice / Mechanics with sound experience
- Should have attended EP-1, EP-2 and courses
- Dismantling, assembling and calibration of Bosch EDC system "VE...E" type distributor injection pumps.
- Basics of electronic governors and ancillary components.
- Function, dismantling and assembling of VP44 pumps.
EDC-2 (3 Days)
Electronic Diesel Control Systems Vehicle Diagnostics
Participants: Diesel Apprentice / Mechanics with relative experience
- Should have attended EP-1, EP-2 and EP-3courses
- Theory and Repair of Common rail high pressure pumps.
- Theoretical and Practical testing of sensors and components on EDC systems.
- Diagnose, test and repair of faults in the EDC systems as fitted to the vehicle, using KTS diagnostic testers and other equipment. Includes dyno performance testing, where available.
EDC-3 (2 Days)
Electronic Diesel Control Systems with Inline Injection
Participants: Diesel Apprentice / Mechanics with sound experience
- Should have attended EP-1, EP-2 and EP-3 courses
- Theory relating to the Inline pujp fitted with Bosch RE govenors.
- Dismantling, assembling, pre-setting and calibration of Inline pumps fitted with RE electronic govenors.
EDC-3H (2.5 Days)
H Execution Inline Pumps with RE36 Govenors
Participants: Diesel Apprentice / Mechanics with sound experience
- Should have attended EP-1, EP-2, and EP-3 courses.
- Theory relating to the operation of the H type Pump with the RE36 Govenor".
- Dismantling, assembling, pre-setting and calibration of H type pump using ESI and Component Instructions.
EDC-4 (2 Days) Common Rail High Pressure Pumps
Participants: Diesel Apprentice / Mechanics with sound experience
- Should have attended EP-1, EP-2, EP-3, EDC-1 and EDC-2 courses at least.
- Theory relating to the operation of the CP1 and CP3 high pressure Pump sensores, actuators and accumulator rail.
- Dismantling, assembling and resting of CP 1 and CP 3 pumps on the EPS815 test bench.
- Use of ESI and Component Instructions during repair.
EDC-5 (2.5 Days)
Common Rail Injectors
Participants: Diesel Apprentice / Mechanics with sound experience
- Should have attended all EP courses and at least EDC-2 and EDC-4.
- Theory relating to the operation of the Common Rail Injector.
- Dismantling and repair of Bosch CRI Injectors in a clean room environment according to Bosch ESI and Component Instructions.
- Testing the CRI and CRIN Injectors on the EPS815 test bench.
EDC-6 (2.5 Days)
Unit Injector System and Unit Injector Pump
Participants: Diesel Apprentice / Mechanics with sound experience
- Should have attended all EP courses and at least EDC-1, EDC-2, EDC-4 and EDC-5.
- Theory relating to the operation of the UIS and UIP units.
- Dismantling, assembling, pre-testing of the UIS and UIP.
- Testing the UIS and UIP on the EPS815 test bench.
