R starter

With its reduction-gear starter motors Bosch provides the ideal solution for all vehicle engines. The high quality and perfor- mance features of these starter motors are really convincing. Our well-tried R starters with performances of up to 2.5 kW are designed for gasoline and diesel engines.

Start/Stop starter

Start up for economical driving and clean stops. With the Start/Stop starter motor for use in start/stop system both CO2 output and also fuel consumption in city traffic can
be reduced by up to 8 % (ECE15 measuring cycle). In actual city traffic the reductions can be correspondingly greater.

Drivers save money, cities can breathe again. The way this Bosch innovation works is as simple as it is effi- cient: when the vehicle comes to a stop and provided the battery charge is sufficient, the combustion engine is automati- cally switched off. To drive off again it is only necessary to activate the gas pedal or clutch pedal to restart the engine. During vehicle standstill in a traffic jam or at a red light for example, no fuel is consumed, nor is any CO2 emitted. And noise emissions drop to zero.
