Although mostly known in the automotive fields, we have an extensive product range in various other fields, including power tools, solar energy, packaging technology, thermo technology, security and public address technology.

Midrand, Gauteng, is the basis for these divisions some of which are new to the South African market, but not new within the Bosch world. Solar energy has recently been launched with spectacular products and service, as well as our Packaging solutions which have drastically grown due to high demand and customer satisfaction. With excellent quality and service we are driving the future.

We have a high-tech manufacturing facility, based in Brits, North-West Province, producing automotive parts for the OE as well as aftermarket sectors. Products include alternators, starter motors, wiper systems, brake assemblies as well as electronic control units for both automotive and non automotive use.

Our subsidiaries include BSH which deals with household appliances and Haegglunds which is active in large hydraulic drives for mining applications.

Ninety-two percent of the share capital of Robert Bosch GmbH is held by Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH, a charitable foundation. The majority of voting rights are held by Robert Bosch Industrietreuhand KG, an industrial trust. The entrepreneurial ownership functions are carried out by the trust. The remaining shares are held by the Bosch family and by Robert Bosch GmbH.
